waitin' on a man.

apparently there are still good men out there waitin' on a woman....or at least that is what brad says. brad paisley came to salt lake this past weekend. andrea and i decided that since keith urban's concert was so amazing that we should get tickets to see brad, dierks bentley, and jimmy wayne. shel and andrea's sister came with the two of us and we had a blast. we had lawn tickets so the people around us were kind of lame. although it was a really good concert, i still love keith more. sorry brad. we started out the night going to texas roadhouse and then headed over to the concert.

also as promised, here are some (awkward) pictures of my lashes (ahem, i mean new addiction).

other recent events..we went to the state fair last weekend. i was going to post pictures, but i think one of the four of us in each picture would object to that. the person taking the pictures was kind of struggling apparently.

i'm excited for this week...this weekend is going to be a blast because...

well i guess you'll have to wait and see.

a new addiction.

i don't know if i previously mentioned this, but we had a party last weekend. paige found this idea for a staring contest party and had wanted to give it a try. well, let me tell you...we did more than give it a try. we had it last friday and it went really (i mean really) well...and it was really fun to have it at the apartment. i made over 150 mini cupcakes (precious...i organized them and frosted them to look like eyeballs staring at each other). take a peek at the success.
other exciting news. i have a new addiction. well, i'm thinking it is heading in that direction. i have this AML patient at the hospital who i absolutely adore, and he has the greatest wife and kids. i have taken care of them for countless days and have become quite close to them. well, his wife works in a salon up in park city and does nails, eyelash extensions, etc. to make a long story short, she gave me eyelash extensions. i have ALWAYS wanted eyelash extensions. seriously. and they are glorious. it saves me so much time...no eyeliner, no mascara. NOTHING. thanks ang...i owe you one. no worries, i will post pictures soon of how wonderful they are. word of the wise...if you have been considering getting extensions...i highly recommend it.
WARNING: it does become addicting.

sweet thing.

keith urban is perfection. last night andrea and i went to see his concert at the energy solutions arena, and i can tell you for sure that i fell in love with him even more. he is amazing! i love all his albums but he is even better live. i had to work yesterday so luckily someone came in a few minutes early. and due to my beliefs of go big or go home...we were decked out in true country apparel....yes, boots and all. little big town opened and were pretty impressive. keith played for almost 2.5 hours...the tickets were well worth the price. here are a few pictures; andrea has better ones on her camera. if these do not suffice, i will add more later. we decided the only thing that could have made the night better were to meet keith himself. at one point he walked through everyone...literally. and played some acoustic solos at the end opposite the stage. we contemplated rushing the stage, but figured we would rather see the whole show.

okay, so overall the night was amazing.

dear keith, please come back next year. love, lindsey

numero dos.

so i know i wrote about craving peaches in an earlier post. well, i think i have sufficiently filled that craving.
seriously, just ask paige and andrea.

moving on....
all i want to eat is chips and salsa. especially chili's chips and salsa. if you haven't had them, you should give them a try.
on a much different note. tomorrow i'm meeting/seeing (probably not meeting, but we'll keep our fingers crossed) the man of my dreams.
oh keith urban, how i love you.

bittersweet.

i'm starting to wish it was fall already. weird. this is atypical of me.
is anyone else ready for it to be jacket weather?
oh... and for october.
it is the best month of the year.
who doesn't love corn mazes, haunted houses, and other fun fall things to do.

Auntie

....or should i say aunee as eli would say. this past weekend i went to dallas to see cj, mard, eli, and tate (my brother and his family). tate came 2 and half weeks early so it gave me plenty of time to squeeze in a trip while he was still so little. i had a great time and was totally worn out. i don't know where 2 year olds get their energy from! i hadn't seen them since christmas, and i loved getting to see tate as a newborn (he was still only 6 lbs 14 oz while i was there, and i loved it!) dallas is a fun city...it is so hot and bright...seriously i have never been anywhere so bright. we went downtown, which apparently all shuts down on sunday, and even drove around the baylor hospital. I swear this is the biggest hospital campus i have ever seen. we also celebrated mardi's birthday, went shopping and swimming, and i loved playing with my two darling nephews.
this boy LOVES water (or wardi as he puts it)

eli loves to help tate...it is quite hilarious at times when he tries to do EXACTLY what we do with him. i miss my boys and cj and mard..thanks for letting me come stay.

a weekend in provo.

it was my goal to take a trip at least once a month during the summer...and i have gladly accomplished this goal. a few weekends ago i was actually present in provo..which has not happened much (unless i'm working). i decided i better make it worth my while. paige, andrea, and i went floating down the provo river.....IT IS DEADLY! okay, last year, paige, stacy, and i floated the provo river and almost died, but this time, it was even a closer near death experience. i will NEVER (yes, in this situation i am 100% for sure saying never) float the provo river again. EVER! we didn't take any pictures because we were a] hypothermic, and b] bleeding and scraped up. looking back, it is a pretty entertaining story, but it was horrifying the day of. that night, we went up the weber county fair which was much more low key and safer than the previous activity.
